CORNBREAD 
1 lb. sausage
1 medium onion, chopped fine
1/3 c. green pepper, chopped fine
1 can cream-style corn
1 can black-eyed peas
1 c. self-rising corn meal
1/2 c. flour
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 lb. shredded Cheddar cheese

Cook sausage, onion and pepper together in a skillet until sausage is browned. Mix with all other ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Pour into a greased 11 x 13 pan.

Bake for 45 to 55 minutes in a preheated 350°F oven.

Note: All you need for a meal with this is a tossed green salad.
