1 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. oil
1 c. thick homemade applesauce
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. rolled oats
1/2 c. chopped dates

Beat the brown sugar and oil together well blended. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Drop from a teaspoon onto an oiled baking sheet. Bake in a 375 degree oven 25 minutes or until well browned and done. Cool on the baking sheet.
