FRUIT COBBLER 
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. self-rising flour
3/4 c. milk
1 1/2 c. unsweetened fruit
1/2 c. sugar

Melt butter in oven in 2 quart deep baking dish. Beat together the 1 cup sugar, flour and milk until a smooth batter. Pour batter over the melted butter and blend. Empty fruit over the batter and sprinkle the 1/2 cup sugar over fruit. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
