EASY OLD-FASHION BREAD PUDDING 
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 qt. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 block butter
8 slices bread
Cinnamon
1 c. raisins & crushed pineapple (opt.)

Blend the eggs with the sugar, add 1 quart of milk and vanilla; stir well. Break the bread into small pieces and add to mixture. Soak. Pour into a baking dish and cover with 1 block of butter and sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg. Bake for 1 hour in a 350 degree oven.

With some changes to the quantity, and substituting dates for raisins, this recipe was delicious and well received. It needed less milk, a little less butter, and more bread. It could also use a little whiskey or rum. Otherwise, perfect, and very easy. Any amateur could make this and please a crowd.
