HONEYED CARROTS | |
5 c. carrots, peeled and sliced 1/2 inch thick 1/4 c. butter 1/2 c. honey 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper Cook carrots in boiling water until just tender. Drain. Melt butter; add honey, brown sugar, salt and pepper. Blend. Place carrots in greased 1 1/2 quart casserole. Pour sauce over. Cover with foil and bake in moderate oven 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes. Makes 8 servings. Note: if more convenient, simply heat cooked carrots in sauce. |
