DATE NUT TART 
3 eggs
1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. chopped dates
1 tsp. vanilla
Dash of salt
Whipped cream or ice cream

Beat sugar and egg yolks together for 5 minutes. Fold in flour, baking powder and salt. Add dates, nuts and vanilla. Fold in beaten egg whites. Bake in 2 (8 inch) pans in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes. Top with whipped cream or ice cream. (Tarts will not be very thick.)
