SCRATCH COOKIES 
6 eggs
2 sticks butter
3/4 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
4 or 5 c. flour

Mix eggs, sugar, vanilla and melted butter together. Beat well. Add flour and baking powder. Dough not too hard - not too soft. Add more flour if needed. Refrigerate 1 hour.

Roll out thin. Cut with sharp knife. With fork scratch over the top - or after you roll out dough, cut with knife in strips. Bake. Cover with a light glaze for frosting and add colored sugar on top. Bake on ungreased sheet 350 degrees, 10-15 minutes.
