FRIED CORN 
12 ears of fresh white corn
2 tbsp. bacon drippings
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. water
1/4 tsp. pepper

Remove husks and silks from corn. Cut corn from cobs, scraping cobs to remove all milk. Heat butter and bacon drippings in a skillet until hot, add corn, water, salt, and pepper. Cook, uncovered, over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Cover reduce heat and simmer 10 to 12 minutes or until liquid is absorbed, stirring frequently.
