DECADENT CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1 c. butter (oleo)
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 c. blended oatmeal, measure oatmeal, put through food processor to turn to powder
12 oz. semi sweet chocolate chips
3 (1.6 oz.) Hershey's milk chocolate candy bars, grated (can do in food processor)
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans

Cream shortening beat in sugars well. Beat in eggs, vanilla. Sift flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder. Stir oatmeal into flour. Mix well into shortening mixture. Stir in remaining ingredients. Put in refrigerator 1 hour. Roll dough into balls. Bake 375 degrees about 12 minutes. Balls can be frozen and baked whenever ready. This works well and is very convenient.
