OATMEAL - CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
2 1/2 c. reg. oats, uncooked
1 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
3 (1.5 oz.) milk chocolate bars, grated
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans

Place oats in container of electric blender or food processor. Process until finely ground. Set aside. Beat butter in a large bowl at medium speed of an electric mixer; gradually add sugars, beating well. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.

Combine ground oats, flour, soda, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in chocolate and pecans.

Drop dough by level tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire rack and cool completely. Yield: 7 dozen.
