CHOCOLATE CHIP OATMEAL COOKIES 
3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
Dash of salt
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 3/4 c. quick cooking rolled oats
1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1/2 c. oil
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. pecans or walnuts

In a big bowl, combine flour, oats, baking soda, salt, brown sugar, walnuts or pecans, and chocolate pieces. Add oil, water and vanilla. Mix to blend well. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets about 2 inches apart, cookies will spread. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes until lightly browned. Let cookies stand for about 1 minute. Remove to wire rack to cool. Makes 3 dozen.
