CHOCOLATE OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 3/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped pecans
3/4 c. oatmeal

Sift flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda and then add oatmeal. Beat shortening, sugar, eggs, cocoa, then add sour cream. Add vanilla and nuts and then add dry ingredients. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool and frost with powdered sugar frosting.
