GREAT FRENCH BREAD 
1 loaf soft French bread, sliced, but not completely through
1 pkg. sliced Swiss cheese, halved
1 stick butter, melted
1/4 c. onion, chopped
2 tsp. dry mustard
4 tsp. poppy seeds
3 strips raw bacon

Make "boat" out of 3 pieces heavy duty aluminum foil. Place bread in boat. Place 1 slice of Swiss cheese in each slice of bread. Make sauce out of melted butter, chopped onion, dry mustard and poppy seeds. Pour evenly over bread. Place three strips of raw bacon over bread. Do not cover. Bake at 375 degrees for 18 minutes.
