TOFFEE CRUNCH 
1 column saltine crackers
1/2 lb. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 pkg. (12 oz.) chocolate chips

Place a single layer of saltine crackers in bottom of a cookie sheet (with sides!).

In saucepan, heat butter and sugar to a boil for 3 minutes. Pour over crackers. Bake at 400 degrees for 7 minutes.

Sprinkle chocolate chips over saltines as soon as pan comes out of the oven. Allow to stand for a few moments and then spread chocolate evenly with spatula over the pan. Let cool and harden. Break into pieces (like peanut brittle).

This candy is nice to make during the holidays for gifts with cookies and fudge.
