1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. salted peanuts, chopped

Mix together all ingredients. Drop by teaspoonful on cookie sheet. Flatten with bottom of glass dipped in sugar. Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees.
