DOLLY'S CORN PONE 
2 c. cornmeal
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. bacon grease
Milk - use enough to make a stiff batter, about 1 c.

Mix all ingredients together, then form pones by hand and put on a greased baking sheet. Bake 12-15 minutes at 425 degrees.

Makes about 1 1/2 dozen, depending on size. "Pones" cornmeal cakes shaped like ovals, originated with the Algonquin Indians.
