SWEDISH MEAT BALLS 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
1 egg
2/3 c. milk
2 tbsp. grated onion
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. nutmeg

Mix together lightly. Gently form into small balls. Brown in hot fat. (I brown mine under the broiler.) Add about 1/4 cup hot water. over and simmer 20 minutes. Serve hot with slightly thickened pan gravy. (I use cream of mushroom soup with about 1/4 cup milk per can.)
