ELLEN'S SWEDISH MEAT BALLS 
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. milk
1 tbsp. onions
1/2 c. fresh bread crumbs or oatmealtsp. salt
Pinch of sugar, allspice, and nutmeg
1 1/4 lbs. ground beef

GRAVY:

1 c. boiling water
3 beef bouillon cubes
1 or 2 tbsp. wine vinegar
2 tbsp. flour
1/4 c. water

Beat eggs; add milk, bread crumbs, and seasoning. Add meat; mix well. Shape into small balls; brown quickly in a little oil or fat, then simmer in gravy for 1/2 hour.

For Gravy: Pour off all fat; add boiling water to the frying pan, bouillon cube, and vinegar; thicken with flour mixed with cold water.
