SWEDISH MEAT BALLS | |
1 lb. ground beef 1/2 lb. ground pork 1/2 c. minced onion 3/4 c. fine bread crumbs 1 tbsp. minced parsley 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 tsp. Worcestershire 1 egg 1/2 c. milk Mix and shape above ingredients into walnut-shaped meatballs; brown in 1/4 cup vegetable oil; remove meatballs. GRAVY: 1/4 c. flour 1 tsp. paprika 1/2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 2 c. boiling water 3/4 c. sour cream Make gravy by adding flour, paprika, salt and pepper to drippings from meatballs. Then, stir in boiling water and sour cream. Put meat balls back in and cook 20 minutes. Or, can put in a baking pan or dish and bake in oven for 30 minutes. |
