CHOCOLATE CHIP TOFFEE BARS 
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
2/3 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. brown sugar
3 eggs, separated
1 tbsp. sugar, granulated
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1/3 c. nuts

Beat 1/2 cake mix (dry), butter, brown sugar, and egg yolks in large bowl until smooth. Stir in remaining cake mix. Press evenly into ungreased cookie sheet. Beat egg whites in small bowl until foamy. Beat in granulated sugar gradually. Continue beating until soft peaks form. Spread over layer in pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes until top is golden brown. Run knife around edges while warm to loosen sides. Cool and cut into bars.
