SIX LAYER CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. pork sausage, broken up 1/2 c. sliced onions 1/2 c. uncooked rice 1 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. sugar 1 1/2 c. raw potatoes, sliced 1 c. sliced raw carrots 1 1/2 c. canned tomatoes 1/2 tsp. pepper Partially cook sausage and drain off fat. Place sausage in 2 quart casserole and cover with layers of rice, onions, and carrots. Add tomatoes with juice. Combine salt, pepper, and sugar and sprinkle over top. Cover casserole and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Serves 4. |
