COLD WATER DILL PICKLES | |
8 c. cold water 3/4 c. pickling salt 2 c. cider vinegar To each gallon: 1 tsp. powdered alum 1 tsp. cream of tartar Place cucumbers in gallon jars and fill with brine to within a 1/2 inch from the top. Seal and keep at room temperature for 6 days, then store in a cool, dark place for 8 weeks. |
