SLOW POT BEANS | |
1 1/2 lbs. dry navy beans 1 tbsp. instant minced onion 1 c. ketchup 1 c. packed brown sugar 1 tbsp. dry mustard 1/4 c. dark molasses 3 1/2 c. water 1/4 lb. bacon or ham, diced sm. 1 tbsp. salt Put beans in crock and cover with cold water. Soak 4 to 5 hours or overnight. Drain. Put in crock and add all ingredients. Mix well. Cook on low setting 13 to 15 hours. High setting 7 to 8 hours. Makes 2 quarts. |
