3 sticks butter
1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. sifted plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla

Cream first 3 ingredients together until fluffy. Add eggs to butter mixture, one at a time, continue mixing after each addition. Mix dry ingredients together by stirring or sifting. Add flour mixture to butter mixture alternately with milk and vanilla. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
