BUTTERMILK CHOCOLATE CAKE | |
2 sticks butter 4 tbsp. cocoa 1 c. water 1 tsp. baking soda 2 c. sugar 2 c. plain flour 2 eggs 1/2 c. buttermilk ICING: 1 stick butter 4 tbsp. baking soda 6 tbsp. buttermilk 1 box confectioners' sugar 1 c. pecans, chopped Bring butter, cocoa and water to a boil. Combine dry ingredients; add to rest of mixture and mix well; add eggs one at a time alternately with buttermilk. Mix well. Bake in greased and floured square 8 x 10 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Cool. Frost. |
