| CHOCOLATE BUTTERMILK SHEET CAKE | |

2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 2 c. sugar 1 tsp. baking soda Combine in large bowl. Melt: 1 c. water 4 tbsp. cocoa Bring to boil and pour over the above mixture. Add: 1/2 c. buttermilk Bake in sheet cake pan at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. ICING: Combine: 6 tbsp. buttermilk 1 stick butter Bring to boil. Pour over 1 box powdered sugar. Spread on warm cake. A 1/2 cup of black walnuts may be added to icing and walnut flavoring may be added also. | |
