CARROT CHEDDAR COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. oats (quick or old fashioned), uncooked
1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
1 c. shredded carrot
3/4 c. flour
2/3 c. butter, softened
1 c. raisins or chopped dates
1 c. carobs (optional)
1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/8 tsp. cloves

Combine all ingredients; mix well. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet; flatten slightly. Bake at 375 degrees 16 to 18 minutes or until golden brown. Store in tightly covered container in refrigerator or in loosely covered container at room temperature. Serve for breakfast or as a snack. Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
