1 3/4 c. Bisquick baking mix
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
1 egg
1 tbsp. Watkins butter pecan flavoring
Approximately 30 whole pecans
Granulated sugar

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix Bisquick, 1/2 cup sugar, shortening, egg and flavoring until dough becomes stiff. Work dough with hands until dough holds together. Shape into 1-inch balls.

Place cookies about 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet. Flatten each to 1/4 inch thickness with bottom of glass dipped in granulated sugar. Press pecan in center of each cookie.

Bake 12 to 15 minutes until a delicate brown. Makes about 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
