BAKE SHELL & ITALIAN SAUSAGE
CASSEROLE
 
1 lb. sweet Italian sausage
1 sm. green pepper, chopped fine
1 med. onion, chopped fine
1 lg. can tomato puree
1 lg. can tomato paste
1 c. water
1 dry shells
1 lb. (2 - 8 oz. pkgs.) Mozzarella cheese
1/2 c. grated mozzarella cheese

Remove sausage from casing and crumble into small pieces. Fry until crumbly. Add green pepper and onion. Saute 5 minutes. Don't drain. Stir in tomato puree, tomato paste and water. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Cook shells and drain. Layer shells, Mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce mix in layers in 13"x9"x2" pan ending with sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake 1/2 hour in 400 degree oven.
