APPLE CRISP 
10 baking apples, thinly sliced
Juice of 1 lemon
1/4 c. granulated sugar

TOPPING:

2/3 c. flour
3/4 c. light brown sugar
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. quick-cooking oatmeal
1 tbsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 c. butter (at room temperature)

In a deep 9 inch pie or baking dish, layer the apples, lemon juice and sugar; set aside.

In a bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, oatmeal, cinnamon and butter. Work these with fork or finger tips until well mixed.

Sprinkle the topping all over the apples and bake in 375 degree oven for 45 minutes or until the crisp is golden brown and bubbling at the edges.

Serve with whipped cream or ice cream. Serves 6-8.
