PINEAPPLE SQUARES WITH MERINGUE 
2 egg yolks
1 c. flour
1 stick butter
1/4 c. confectionery sugar

Combine above ingredients. Blend and pat in an 8" square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. In saucepan cook 8 ounces crushed pineapple with 1/2 cup sugar. Add 2 tablespoons cornstarch until thick. Spread filling over crust and top with meringue.

MERINGUE:

2 egg whites
6 tbsp. sugar

Beat until stiff. Return to oven to brown meringue.
