CHEROKEE CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. ground beef 3/4 c. chopped onion 1 1/2 tsp. salt Dash of pepper 1/4 tsp. each garlic powder, thyme, and oregano 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can mushroom soup 1 c. minute rice 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese Brown meat; add onions. Cook until tender; stir in ingredients in order given, except cheese. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Spoon in baking dish. Top with cheese. Bake until cheese is melted. Serves 4 to 6. |
