PATTY'S CHEROKEE TACOS 
1-2 lbs. ground beef, turkey or ground chuck
1/2 onion, chopped
1 can ranch style beans
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cheddar cheese, grated
2 tomatoes, diced
1/2 head of lettuce, shredded
Picante sauce.

Brown meat in skillet. Pour off water and juices, if any. Mix onion in meat and cook for 3 to 5 minutes; pour in meat and cook for 3 to 5 minutes; pour in the ranch style beans. Let simmer until heated through and through, about 7 to 10 minutes. Have fried bread ready. Also diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce and grated cheese. Cut and dice the other half of onion. Lay fried bread on plate and put meat and any or all the other ingredients on top of bread. Top with picante sauce.
