OATMEAL-WHOLE WHEAT BREAD 
1/2 c. butter
2/3 c. brown sugar
1 c. oatmeal
3/4 tsp. salt

Place these in a large bowl. Pour 1 1/2 cups boiling water over these and let stand until cool, stirring. Add 1 package yeast and one egg. Stir. Add 2 cups whole wheat and 2 cups white all-purpose flour. Stir.

Let rise until double in bulk. On floured board knead 5-10 minutes. Form into two loaves and place in loaf pans. Let rise until double in bulk. Bake at 375 degrees for about 40 minutes.
