PEGGY'S PUMPKIN BREAD 
BOWL #1:

Use an electric mixer:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg

BOWL #2:

Mix by hand:

1 3/4 c. plain flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

BOWL #3:

1 c. pumpkin
1/2 c. butter, soft
1 egg, beaten
1/3 c. water

Pour bowl number 3 on top of bowl number 2. Note bowl 2 must be large mixing bowl. Stir gently by hand. Set aside two cups of this mixture. Pour remaining batter in greased and floured loaf pans. Put the cream cheese mixture on batter, swirling the cream cheese. Take the two cups of batter that was set aside and pour on top of cream cheese filling. Cover your one loaf pan with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Cool completely before dumping from pan.
