CHICKEN AND DUMPLINS | |
1 whole chicken 1/2 onion roughly chopped 2 cans biscuit dough 1/2 c. sliced carrots 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. pepper Cook chicken in water and add onion. Boil until tender and falling off the bone. Remove chicken from liquid and take off the bone. Strain liquid. Add carrots, chicken, salt and pepper to liquid and bring to a boil. Drop biscuit dough by the tablespoons into hot liquid. Simmer about 30 minutes, stirring frequently, until dough is cooked through and carrots are tender. |
