LAZY DAISY OATMEAL CAKE 
1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. oats
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

For cake pour boiling water over oats, cover, let sit 15 minutes. Beat butter until creamy, gradually add sugars, beat until fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs; beat, then add oats mixture beat, sift flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add to creamed mixture. Mix well.

Pour into greased and floured pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes. Do not remove from pan. Spread on frosting.

FROSTING:

1/4 c. butter, melted
1/2 c. brown sugar
3 tbsp. cream
1/3 c. chopped nuts
3/4 c. coconut

Combine all ingredients. Spread over cake. Put under broiler until frosting becomes bubbly. Serve warm or cold.
