JAM CAKE 
3 eggs
1 c. butter
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. nuts, cut fine
1/2 c. candied pineapple, cut fine
1 c. blackberry jam

Cream butter, add eggs; mix thoroughly. Sift all dry ingredients together. Add alternately with milk, add the floured pineapple and nuts. Then add jam. Can be iced or not, as preferred.
