CHOCOLATE MINT BROWNIES | |
1 c. sugar 1/2 c. butter 4 eggs, beaten 1 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 16 oz. chocolate syrup (can use No Frills) 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. finely chopped nuts 2 c. confectioners sugar 1/2 c. softened butter 1 1/2 tbsp. green creme de menthe 1 c. chocolate chips 6 tbsp. butter Mix together sugar, 1/2 cup butter, eggs, flour, salt, chocolate syrup, vanilla and nuts; put into greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees. For mint layer, mix confectioners sugar, 1/2 cup softened butter and creme de menthe; spread on completely cooled cake. For glaze, combine chocolate chips and 6 tablespoons butter. Melt together, stirring until smooth. Cool slightly and spread over entire surface. Cool. Cut into squares; refrigerate. These freeze well. |
