This meatloaf with stewed tomato topping is the best! I come from a small town, Blackville, SC, and we have a fantastic omish restaurant there, Miller's Bread Basket, and ppl come from all over the USA to eat there. They have a stewed tomato topping for their meatloaf and I have tried for years to find out how they make it and now I can make it too! This is a truly delicious recipe. Thanks for sharing and if you are ever in that area, do yourself a favor and stop in and eat. Everything they have is sooo very good! Homemade breads, best pies you have ever tasted, and all homemade and owned and operated by Ray Miller and his wife and their family! A lovely family and very friendly. They also have a gift shop with handmade quilts so beautiful you will not be able to resist!

Excellent recipe. The meatloaf is slightly spicy with a wonderful taste and texture. The stewed tomatoes, onion and green pepper come together in what I would describe as a Creole sauce. A very nice change from your typical meatloaf. I will definitely be making this again.
