RUM CAKE | |
1 c. chopped nuts 18 oz. yellwo cake mix 3 3/4 oz. instant vnailla pudding mix 4 eggs 1/2 c. cold water 1/2 c. oil 1/2 c. dark rum Grease and flour tube pan. Sprinkle nuts on bottom of pan. Combine cake and pudding mix, add eggs, water, oil and rum. Pour over nuts in pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. GLAZE: 1/4 lb. butter 1/4 c. water 1 c. white sugar 1/2 c. dark rum Melt butter, stir in water and sugar. Boil 5 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from heat, stir in rum. Prick top of cooled cake and drizzle or brush glaze over top and sides. |
