BANANA NUT BREAD 
3 c. flour
1 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. uncooked oats
1 c. chopped nuts
3/4 c. buttermilk
1/3 c. oil
3 eggs, beaten
2 c. mashed bananas

Mash bananas. Set aside. Sift dry ingredients. Add oats and nuts; mix. Make a well in center. Set aside.

Combine buttermilk, oil and eggs; blend well. Pour liquid into center of dry ingredients. Add bananas. Stir until just moistened. Do not beat. Pour into 2 greased and wax paper lined 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done. Let stand for 10 minutes. Remove from pans and cool thoroughly. Top with Orange Glaze.
