MASKED BALL CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. cake flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vinegar
1 5/8 oz. red food color
1 1/2 c. cooking oil

Beat eggs. Add sugar, cooking oil and vinegar. Sift cake flour and soda together. Add flour to mixture. Add milk slowly. Beat well. Add flavoring and food color. Mix well.

Pour into 3 greased and floured cake pans. Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Turn out and cool. Then frost.

FROSTING:

1 box powdered sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 stick butter
1 c. chopped pecans

Place cream cheese and butter in pan over low heat. Let melt, stirring constantly. Then add powdered sugar and pecans. Mix well. Frost cool cake.
