BREAD PUDDING WITH LEMON SAUCE 
2 qt. bread crumbs (approx.)
1-1 1/2 c. milk
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. chocolate bits, optional
1/2 c. black walnuts, optional

LEMON SAUCE:

Butter size of large egg
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 lemon (juice & most of rind, grated)
1/3 c. boiling water

Mix bread crumbs with milk and eggs until smooth like cake batter. Add sugar and vanilla. Add raisins, chocolate bits and nuts. Pour into a greased baking (12 x 12 inch). Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve warm or cold with lemon sauce.

Lemon Sauce: Cream butter and sugar well. Add well beaten egg, nutmeg, juice and rind of lemon. Beat several minutes, then add slowly the boiling water. Bring just to boil (do not boil).
