SPANISH RICE | |
1 c. chopped onion 1 c. chopped green pepper 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 1/2 to 2 lbs. hamburger 4 tbsp. salad oil 8 c. tomato juice or 2 cans tomato soup, diluted 3 c. uncooked rice 2 tsp. salt 2 c. cubed Velveeta cheese 2 cans mushroom soup 2 c. tomatoes Cook hamburger, onion and green pepper in salad oil in skillet until lightly browned. Add tomatoes, salt and uncooked rice; simmer 10 minutes. Pour into greased casserole or roaster; add mushroom soup and cheese and bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes or until rice is done. |
