MILLIE'S SPANISH RICE 
1/2 lg. green pepper
1/2 lg. onion
1 lb. lean ground beef
Parsley
Salt
Pepper
1 bag Lipton's onion mushroom soup mix
1 bag Success Boil in Rice
2 (16 oz.) cans tomatoes
2 tsp. sugar
6 strips bacon

Cut up pepper and onions. Saute. Add to this the ground beef, a little salt, pepper and parsley and the dry bag of Lipton soup mixture. When meat is browned, cut up the tomatoes and add to meat mixture. Add sugar and stir. Rinse cans with a little water and add to mixture. Stir well.

Sprinkle 7/8 of the bag of rice over the top of the meat mixture. Stir well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer and cover. Keep lid on and cook for 1 hour. Stir occasionally.
