HAM AND VEGETABLES 
1 1/2 lb. ham, cubed
4 med. potatoes, quartered
4 stalks celery, sliced
4 med. onions, quartered
4 carrots, sliced
1 med. head cabbage, cut in wedges
salt and pepper to taste
butter
clove of garlic, minced

Combine ingredients in pan of water except salt, pepper, and butter. Cook until vegetables are tender; adding seasoning toward end. Before serving, add 1 tbsp. butter. Stir until butter melts.
