1 1/2 lb. ham, cubed 4 med. potatoes, quartered 4 stalks celery, sliced 4 med. onions, quartered 4 carrots, sliced 1 med. head cabbage, cut in wedges salt and pepper to taste butter clove of garlic, minced Combine ingredients in pan of water except salt, pepper, and butter.
