BARBECUED MEATBALLS 
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
1 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. vinegar
1/4 c. sugar
4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 bottle (14 oz.) catsup
1/2 c. water

MEATBALLS:

1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
3/4 c. rolled oats (quick cooking)
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. finely chopped onion
1 egg
1/2 c. milk

Saute onions in butter. Add remaining ingredients and cook over very low heat while preparing meatballs.

Combine all ingredients for meatballs and shape into 16 meatballs. Brown in small amount of shortening. Drain off excess fat. Pour sauce over meatballs, cover and simmer about 30 minutes. Spoon sauce over meatballs occasionally. Serves 6.
