CRANBERRY-APPLE CRISP 
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
2 c. fresh cranberries
2 c. chopped apples
1 c. quick oats
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a casserole dish.

Combine sugar and water in pan. Boil 5 minutes. Add cranberries; cook 5 minutes or until they pop. Remove from heat and add apples. Pour into prepared dish.
