STRING BEAN CASSEROLE 
8 oz. can mushrooms
1 med. onion, chopped
1 stick butter
1/4 c. flour
2 c. warm milk
1 c. light cream
3/4 lb. sharp cheddar cheese
1/8 tsp. Tabasco
2 tsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. monosodium glutamate
5 pkgs. frozen green beans
5 oz. can water chestnuts, sliced and drained
3/4 c. almonds, sliced

Saute mushrooms and onions in butter. Add flour, milk, cream, cheese, Tabasco, soy sauce, salt, monosodium glutamate. Simmer until cheese melts. Cook green beans. Mix with sauce. Add water chestnuts. Pour into 2 casseroles and top with almonds. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Serves 12 to 15.
